Every ONE Matters

Last week I had one of the most AMAZING experiences that makes me even more fulfilled in what I do as a Beachbody coach.  Beachbody held there annual Coach Summit in Nashville, where over 20,000 coaches attended.  The purpose of this Summit was to bring like minded people together, who all have a passion for working with and helping people lead a healthier lifestyle, and provide training to help us become better coaches and better leaders.  We had training sessions lead by some of the top coaches and some key note speakers such as Simon Sinek and Dewight Jones.  We also got to take part in workouts with Celebrity Trainers such as Shaun T, Tony Horton, Autumn Calabrese, Chalene Johnson and Sagi Kalev.  Saturday, 20,000+ coaches took over the streets of Nashville to take part in this EPIC SUPER workout.  This was such a surreal experience and one I will never forget.  The overall theme of this years Summit was that "every ONE matters"!

This was such a great experience to be around so many people who truly care about helping others lead healthier lives.  I am proud to be a Beachbody Coach and LOVE what I do.

CIZE- The End of Exercize as You Know It

Overcoming Challenges

Just 3 years ago, I didn't even know what an obstacle course race was let alone ever thought about competing in one.  I had never been a runner and my typical workouts consisted of usually going to the gym, maybe use the treadmill or elliptical and lifting some weights.  I would go great for a few months then drop off through the years, so never was very consistent.  That all changed after moving to FL and a friend convinced me to try a Zumba class.  Hesitantly, I joined her which turned out to be a life changing decision for the better.  Through this class I met a some of the greatest ladies who have become the greatest of friends, support system and accountability partners.  It was then through these friendships that I was introduced to the group at 352 Fit Club and the world of OCR racing. Over the last couple of years I have competed in several OCR/Mud Runs and have become hooked. This past weekend I took part in one of my biggest challenges yet by competing in the Spartan Sprint that was held in Tampa at the Buccaneers Stadium.  This race was 4.2 miles and consisted of 24 obstacles.  I overcame some great challenges and couldn't have done it without the support, encouragement and teamwork from our group from 352 Fit Club.  We competed as a team, helping each other when needed to get over some of the fear (fear of heights gets me every time- LOL but I'm getting better), injury and help with the extra oomph needed to complete some of these obstacles and through words of words of encouragement to help push us through.  We competed as a team and finished as a team.  Our motto was we started together we finished together!  I was very nervous going into this race, but the awesome people in this group and even those I didn't even know, helped me to face these fears and accomplish this challenge!  I'm a little bumped and bruised and feeling every muscle today but I enjoyed every moment of this challenge and can't wait until the next one!!!

Progress- One Step at a Time

Feeling really pumped and motivated today! I'm currently in week 3 (Day 18- I think ha) of Insanity Max 30 Challenge.  The thing I love about this Challenge is 1st they are 30 minute workouts, which fits perfectly into my busy schedule of working full time, then mom (with the help of my husband) duty chauffeuring kids around to practice and games and whatever other activities, not to mention helping to instruct Zumba.  2nd- they have a modifier track so I don't ever feel like I can't do the workout, I alternate to the modifier on the exercises I struggle with.  Each time I do the workouts I push myself more and more for progress.  3rd- in just over 2 weeks I'm already feeling leaner and stronger.  YOU WILL GET GREAT RESULTS with this program no doubt about it!  Not to mention, I don't have to leave the comfort of my home to do the workouts, so I don't have to worry about what I'm wearing or my hair (lol).  I usually do the workouts in the am so I pretty much roll out of bed could be pretty scary.  No commute time to the gym, waiting for equipment etc.  Lastly, I can involve my family.  My husband (my favorite workout partner) will do the workouts with me and then sometimes the kids will get involved for a few moments here or there.

Helping Others Lead Healthy Fulfilling Lives

So this past weekend I attended the Beachbody Super Saturday event in Tampa where we had the pleasure of having the CEO Carl Diakeler come and speak to us.  Very inspiring to hear him speak and see what a down to earth guy he is.  The core values of this company is to help people achieve their goals and live healthy fulfilling lives. That says it all.  When I think about why I do what I do- it's because I want to help others lead a healthy life.  That goes along with my fulltime profession as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and with my Coaching.  I love what I do and I want to see people succeed and reach their goals and in the process live healthier lives.  Working in the healthcare field, your reminded everyday how important your health is and how important it is to take care of yourself.  I was truly inspired by some of the transformation stories we heard.  One lady was headed to college on full ride scholarship for softball and some how she got hurt her senior year and was unable to play again.  Over the course of several years due to her injury, depression etc., she gained a lot of weight.  She struggled with trying to lose the weight for quite awhile.  Then she found a Beachbody coach who was running a challenge group for the 21 Day Fix (creator Autumn Calebrese).  She signed up for this challenge and through the combination of the portion control this program offered the exercises AND daily dose of dense nutrition Shakeology she lost 100 lbs!!!  It was through the support that she received from her coach and others in the challenge group and a focus on her nutrition that helped her change her way of life.  That's what it's all about!  That's why I do what I do and love it.

What is Beachbody On Demand?

Beachbody On Demand is a new feature of the Team Beachbody Club that provides unlimited 
access to stream Beachbody's proven fitness programs.  Paid Team Beachbody Club Members 
will be able to work out anytime, anywhere.  Beachbody On Demand includes many of 
Beachbody's most popular fitness programs in the digital library, making Beachbody 
programs easy to access anywhere an internet connection is available. 

How will it work?

Team Beachbody members will automatically have unlimited access to stream workouts from 
a list of Beachbody's most popular fitness programs. Once logged into TeamBeachbody.com, 
Club members will select the Start Streaming tab from the home page, choose any fitness 
program in the streaming library, and stream any workout from the program! 

What fitness programs will be available in the Beachbody digital library?

Immediately upon Beachbody On Demand launch, Club members will have unlimited access 
to stream many of Beachbody's best sellers. Additionally, to give Club members a taste of 
some of Beachbody's newest and bestselling programs before they buy, there will be individual
sample workouts available to stream. The following unlimited access fitness programs will be 
available to stream at launch in March 2015:

Getting Back on Track

The holidays got the best of me as they do many people- I'm human....  I think the whole month of December was a blur between work, my children, soccer, school activities, Christmas party's etc. you name it.  We all may falter a little, the key is to not let the set backs get you down that you give up completely on your goals.  Instead move forward and look ahead.  Whether that means you continue with the set goals you have, revamp them or create new goals either way- the important thing to remember is not to give up.  That being said I'm working to start 2015 out strong by stepping up my workouts and focusing on my nutrition.  In a little over a month I will be participating in the Spartan Sprint Race in Tampa so I have not choice than to step it up... LOL  I don't know if any of you saw the recent show on TV (I think ESPN but not for sure) that featured the Spartan Race.  They were following many of the Elite Athletes as they competed across the US and prepped for the World Championship.  I will have to admit it kind of scared me.....  I'm not sure what I signed up for but you know, I'm looking forward to it.  I'm looking forward to the feeling that says I faced my fears accepted the challenge and completed the Spartan.  The great part about it, is that I will be completing the race with the support of a group from The 352 Fit Club & Team Dynasty.  We have created such a great support system through The 352 Fit Club that through this support you feel like you can accomplish anything.

With this upcoming race there is no time to slack and really time to step up my game (or practice doing lots of burpees- for every obstacle you can't compete you have to do 30 burpees.... that could be A LOT of burpees- lol).  Tonight's workout was with the 352 Fit Club.  We did one of the workouts from the NEW INSANITY MAX 30 program from Shaun T.  WHEW! Is all I got to say.  It kicked my butt - but I LOVED it.  Everyone did a great job and helped each other push it a little further.  If your local to the Homosassa- Citrus County area you should come join us.  The workouts are always free!
